The Imagine Your Story 2020 program is made up of:

* Rubber Ducky Club Babies through incoming Kindergarten students.

* Read & Bead Club Grades 1 to 12.

We will have summer reading welcome kits available – first come, first serve – at the June 15 Ice Cream Party. Participants will receive an Imagine Your Story tote bag and a reading log. Rubber Ducky Club members will receive a tote bag and game board.

We are now online! Our summer reading program can be found on the computer here, the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. We ask families to help us track progress this year with the app. It has a built-in stop watch and it will help you keep track of your own minutes. If you had a login last summer, it will be the same this year. New readers will need to register.

If you signed up online in 2019, your login ID and password are the same.

If you signed up by paper at the library, your login is:

Your email address

Password: beanstack

Once you login, you may change it to something more personal.

Siblings are on the same account, just change readers using the top-left menu (on both the website and app).

Read & Bead Club members will earn beads by reading. For 15 minutes of reading, students will earn a pony bead. For one hour of reading, students will earn a textured bead – glitter, glow in the dark, metallic – and for two hours, students will earn a shaped bead. Shaped beads vary and will include: skulls, hearts, flowers, basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, baseballs, stars, animals and more. Students may level-up earned beads for special beads!

Earn extra beads by attending the North Reading Farmers Market at Ipswich River Park or any of the library events in bold in the list below.

Rubber Ducky Club members will earn stuffed animals by completing activities and reading books. This is restricted to one prize per week.

If children black-out their first reading log (10 hours of reading) or game board by August 14, they will win a free ticket to Topsfield Fair, as well as a voucher for two free rides, a hot dog and a drink. This prize is for students in Kindergarten through Grade 6. This is set by Topsfield Fair.

In the children’s library on the fourth floor, we’ll have an estimation raffle – guess how many items are in the jar and enter the raffle. Whoever is closest to the actual number wins.

There will also be Hide-and-Seek with an Itty Bitty raffle in the children’s library on the fourth floor – find the Itty Bitty, tell a librarian and enter the raffle. Winner to be chosen at the end of summer reading will take the Itty Bitty home.
