The Flint Memorial Library Seed Library is launching on Earth Day (April 22) 2026, in preparation for our 2026 Summer Reading Program: Plant a Seed, Read!

The FML Seed Library will be open to everyone throughout the spring and summer in order to have access to growing their own flowers and produce. We have the seeds and you have the ability, just let nature do the rest as your efforts support the ecosystem, pollinators, and provide you with fresh produce or flowers.

The Seed Library will be open during normal library hours on the 1st floor across from the circulation desk. Please take up to two seed packets per day, and sign them out of our Seed Library Log (you can always ask a librarian for assistance!)

We would love to see what you grow! When your seeds begin to sprout, share your home garden with us on social media with the hashtag #FMLseedlibrary and share the garden love!

If you wish to donate seeds to our seed library, please reach out to Christina Miranti at cmiranti@northreadingma.gov or call the library. We ask that the seeds be organic, heirloom, and/or native to Massachusetts—no chemically treated seeds please.

We can’t wait to see what you grow!
